This webinar, hosted by the National Indian Health Board and Southern Plains Tribal Health Board, will provide an overview of current dental clinic best practices within the Indian health system, including guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Oral health practitioners from two Tribes in Oklahoma will speak on how their clinics are operating during the global pandemic, steps they are taking to protect patients and providers as facilities begin to resume normal operations, services they are offering through virtual teledentistry, and how they are managing reimbursement and third party billing issues.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand IHS and CDC guidance on oral health services during COVID-19 pandemic
- Understand teledentistry billing and reimbursement in Oklahoma and interim guidance nation-wide
- Develop best practices for safely reopening dental offices
The webinar will offer 1.5 hours of continuing dental education credit.
