Time: 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm (ET)
The Tribal Self-Governance Advisory Committee (TSGAC), will host a Webinar on recent updates and Tribal innovations in Telehealth. The COVID-19 pandemic, and the corresponding need for social distancing, has catapulted telehealth into the mainstream. According to some estimates, the proportion of ambulatory patient visits using telehealth (video, phone, or e-visit) increased from 10 percent before the pandemic to more than 90 percent during the pandemic.
In response, the Administration approved a series of waivers authorizing a number of Medicare and Medicaid telehealth flexibilities. During this Webinar, panelists will:
- Provide an overview of current Medicare telehealth flexibilities and billing rules, including review of a survey of State Medicaid telehealth flexibilities in place during the pandemic;
- Address administrative and legislative efforts to maintain broadened Medicare and Medicaid coverage for telehealth beyond the end of the pandemic; and,
- Provide an overview of Tribal innovations in implementing telehealth services in Indian Country.
There will be time for discussion and questions/answers.
